Overdue Birth Date Treatment (Aiming to Avoid Medical Induction of Labour)
By combining a number of therapies, according to your medical and antenatal history, this treatment aims to encourage the release of your own natural hormones to promote the onset of labour.
Treatments are individually planned for your own needs but will normally encompass:
- A full overview of natural induction methods
- Aromatherapy massage (mixed aromatherapy oil to encourage labour, to take home)
- Acupuncture or Acupressure
- Reflex zone therapy
A series of three sessions is recommended, with a discount if you have your baby before the end of the sessions, or you may chose a postnatal relaxation massage instead!
Research advises that this treatment is best undertaken after a stretch and sweep (if you opt to have this), so it is suggested that a home visit is conducted on the day of your antenatal check – this can be mutually arranged. This treatment is available from 40 weeks of pregnancy.
Please bring your handheld maternity records with you; treatments cannot be undertaken without full assessment of your pregnancy at each visit.
